CC RidersCC Riders benefits2009 Again this year we focused our efforts on New Horizon Ranch. We conducted a work day at the ranch doing general maintenance for them. At our Christmas at the end of the year we were able to present New Horizon Ranch with a check for $1,000 which was raised from your dues and donations. New Horizon Ranch is an equine assisted learning facility for children with physical, cognitive and emotional disabilities. If you would like to know more about New Horizon Ranch visit their web page at newhorizonranch.org. 2008 In 2008 we decided to focus our efforts on one organization, New Horizon Ranch. We conducted two work days at the ranch doing maintenance for them. We painted fence and worked towards building a new fence. At the end of the year we were able to present New Horizon Ranch with a check for $1,200 which was your dues and donations. New Horizon Ranch is an equine assisted learning facility for children with physical, cognitive and emotional disabilities. We donated $512.25 to the Access program at Mid America Nazarene University and $100.00 to the New Horizon Ranch. The Access program is an Olathe School District program that provides activities to people with disabilities. The funds we donated were used to sponsor a trip to a Royal’s game for the Access students and their sponsors. Click here to see a video of that trip. The New Horizon Ranch is an equine assisted learning facility for children with physical, cognitive and emotional disabilities. We also conducted a benefit breakfast in February 2007 to assist Wayne and Barb Eenhuis with living expenses as they recover from the motorcycle accident that happened in October 2006. That breakfast raised over $10,000 through donations and sale of silent action items. In addition there were other donations that brought the total to over $12,000.00. With these funds and some additional donations we have paid the house payment and household bills through 2007. 2006 In 2006 we donated $850.00 of your dues and some additional donations to purchase a special chair for the Alzheimer’s care unit at the Johnson County Medical Center. We donated the chair in honor of Beverly Turnage. In September we assisted the Temporary Lodging for Children (TLC) organization during their fund raiser. We assist them with the ride organization. 2005 On Memorial Day weekend we sponsored a benefit ride and bike show to raise money for the Heart of America Stand down Association. We donated over $615 dollars to that organization which was the ride registration fees minus expenses and some of your dues. On April 22nd we participated in the Olathe Community Connection day. We worked on landscaping and clean up at the Temporary Lodging for Children facility in Olahe, KS. |
